To showcase the celebrations and environmental injustices the students uncovered, they created a mural of these communities.

   In this project, students explored the topic of environmental justice, both locally and abroad.  Locally, students gathered scientific data on the environmental conditions of their own neighborhoods, testing for things like air pollution, water quality, traffic congestion, and access to quality food.  Students summarized these findings in a well written Health Report to bolster their proposed actions plans for change.  This, as well as their ethnographic research paper about some of these neighborhoods, can be accessed with the following link:
