XONR8 and Forensics - Spring 2019

Due to circumstances both in and out of our judicial system's control, every year innocent people are placed into our prison system.  Since 1999, the California Innocence Project has helped exonerate 30 individuals with some of the most challenging circumstances.  In this project, students worked directly with the California Innocence Project team, thumbing through thousands of documents and letters and preparing updated summaries, or memos, that aim to bolster new evidence that would help exonerate the next wrongfully convicted individual.

In Biology, students dug deep into the subject of forensic biology, focusing on the biology of three key forensic topics: hair, DNA, and fingerprints.
